Sometimes You Have To Just Get Down and Pray

This post is for everyone who realizes that we dont walk this earth alone, and for anyone who needs that little word of hope to find faith.

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you havereceived it, and it will be yours.” (Mark 11:24)

The scripture posted above is one that lately I have instilled in my mind and my heart. Life is filled with hard relentless times. For some of us it is our mission to be knocked down in order to prove to someone else that brushing the dirt off and standing tall again is as easy as staying down and sulking in your sadness. I truly believe that God has a blessing for each and every person on this earth, it is only by choice that they never recieve it. Those who allow the devil to hold them in the mindset of sorrow and discontent, turn their face away from the greatness ahead of them.

I have seen some dark hours in the past few years, fear that I may not have the finances to attend school, the sorrow in losing a loved one, the frustration in failure on the track and in the classroom, and the list goes on. But the one thing that I have realized through each of these misfortunes is that the struggle only leads to glory.

So for anyone out there reading this post, just make sure to never give up. The darkest moment is before the sunrise. Pray with confidence and you will be rewarded, never allow your situation to deferr your faith and in the end you will see your prayers manifest beyond anything you may have imagined.

Under Construction!

It has been quite a while since my last post, the reason being there hasn't been very much to talk about. The collegiate track and field season ended...long long ago and for the most part any meets that I participated in during the summer were not very competitive and only served as practice sessions working on a few things that I want to focus on with the upcoming season. The only other things that are taking up time now a days are lifting sessions, watching video, working and spending time with the ones I love.

As you can see from the picture above, ya boi has been out trying to get a tan lol...not really but I did spend my fourth of july weekend down in Panama City Fla. with my lovely girlfriend and her family. I must say that I did enjoy the time away from the real world.

My lifting sessions are going quite well my main focus is taking the strength acquired in the weight room and transferring it over to my agression and power on the track. This upcoming season I plan to switch from 8 to 7 strides to the first hurdle, I dont believe that it should pose much of a problem being that I actually start that way in my other races and I believe that I achieve a stronge push from my right leg. So I will keep you all updated on the progress with that as the indoor season comes around in late fall. By then I would like to be 178-180lbs and grow a couple of inches (dont actually believe thats going to happen but...hey I might get lucky).

P.S. not only am I under construction so is this blog so look forward to some new additions in the coming days.
